This CAST!!!!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯Announcing the phenomenal cast for our brand-new production of Verdi's Il trovatore, opening our 70th season! 🤩👇

🌟 Baritenor Michael Spyres takes on the heroic role of MANRICO, the troubadour of Verdi’s title. Known for his incredible vocal range and virtuosity, Spyres is set to bring Manrico's passion and bravery to life like never before.

🌟 Sensational soprano AILYN PÉREZ, an HGO fan-favorite, will enchant us as the tragic LEONORA. Audiences will remember her as our lovely Cio-Cio-San from Puccini’s Madame Butterfly last season. With her luminous voice and compelling artistry, Pérez will embody Leonora's deep love and devotion for Manrico.

🌟 Our mesmerizing mezzo-soprano, Raehann Bryce-Davis, will join us as AZUCENA, the haunting Romani woman seeking revenge for the death of her mother. Her powerful performances as Azucena have already captivated audiences nationwide, making her the ideal choice for this complex character.

🌟 Baritone Lucas Meachem steps into the role of the jealous COUNT DI LUNA. Meachem's dynamic stage presence and rich, resonant voice will add depth and intensity to the Count's ruthless persona.

🌟 Morris Robinson, Bass, will bring his profound vocal depth to the role of FERRANDO, the Count’s henchman. Robinson's robust and commanding voice will anchor the production with his character’s opening number, a macabre tale that sets this fiery opera in motion.

Single tickets go on sale August 6th, but in the meantime, you can now purchase full-year subscriptions and flex packages at HGO.org/subscribe. You won’t want to miss our season opener as these world-class artists bring Verdi's masterpiece to life, on stage Oct. 18–Nov. 3! 🎶✨
